La Redoute Collections launches collab with knitwear brand l'Envers

Must-have fall pieces

With La Redoute x l'Envers, La Redoute Collections presents its new collab for the fall season. The two French brands joined forces to design a capsule collection of five timeless knitwear pieces in harmonious colors, made in Europe from 100% Italian merino wool. The result is an ode to an elegant and modern autumn wardrobe.

La Redoute Collections is known for its celebrated collaborations with other designers. This time it honors l'Envers, a French knitwear brand started by Julie Charvet Robinne, out of a need to stand against fast fashion culture. The capsule consists of a thick water green turtleneck sweater, an emerald blue V-neck cardigan made of thick jersey, a dark blue short-sleeved polo shirt, slim navy blue wide-leg pants, and a short sleeveless bolero, knitted in a beehive stitch, that can be worn together or separately. The pieces consist of 100% Italian merino wool and are made in Europe.

"I've been following Julie's creations for a while. I love the way she focuses on knitwear. I love this nod to La Redoute's original history. I also appreciate her way of living at her own pace. She has managed to bring a modern touch to traditional knitwear designs. All the pieces in this capsule can be combined and they all look great together." - Sylvette Lepers, director of collaborations at La Redoute

Nod to La Redoute's history

L'Envers was started in 2015 as an alternative to the fast fashion industry. "L'Envers means the opposite in French. Faire les choses à l'envers": doing things the opposite way, offering an alternative to fast fashion," the founder explains. Upon realizing that the fashion industry was the second most polluting industry in the world, she decided she wanted to make a change. L'Envers was born, a brand with a slow and respectful mindset and low environmental impact.

"For me, La Redoute is the heritage of the northern textile industry. Our family has been in the yarn business for 5 generations. In that, La Redoute is my entire childhood, my first fashion experiences, when I was a little girl browsing their catalog. What I liked about this collaboration was that I didn't have to compromise on quality. As someone used to working in a small family studio, I felt that Sylvette Lepers and her pattern maker were as attentive to my needs as I was to theirs, and as demanding as I was."
